About Us

We incorporated as Engineered Control Systems (ECS) in January of 1989. We started with just two people, working in a rented warehouse space where we designed and built our first control panels. We felt then, as we do now, there was a need for the supply of quality designed custom control systems and automation services for the New England market. We were right! Today, we have successfully grown to an efficient 20+ person engineering and service organization. We own our 20,000 square foot system manufacturing and component warehouse facility and service both domestic and international accounts.

ECS has become a leader in automation and system integration and we offer a full range of customer services. We have highly experienced technical personnel to simplify the selection of a drive and overnight it for next day installation by one of our service people. We have the engineering and staffing resource to assist a project manager source the supply of a sophisticated coating line’s complete turnkey controls. We even remove, relocate and upgrade complete manufacturing lines for firms looking to consolidate manufacturing resources.

We continue to listen, learn and respond to our customer’s needs. We have expanded our capabilities and human resources by establishing equity positions in complementary corporations. Action Energy assists us with cost effective solutions for energy conservation projects. GEMCO offers us the rigging, custom shop work, electrical and mechanical contractors for our turnkey project needs. ECS, Action Energy and GEMCO cooperatively supply unmatched resources for our customers that want single source supply.
